In 2015, Dimitri, an engineer and algorithm expert, began working on what would become Fit Immersion two years later.

He took on the challenge of combining physical activity and travel, with a simple yet ambitious idea: to allow people to explore the world in virtual reality from a stationary bike, staying motivated and never missing a workout.

Fit Immersion was initially developed by a French startup founded in 2017 in Montpellier, specializing in the design of virtual reality applications and equipment for sports.

In October 2024, Kinomap acquired Fit Immersion to enhance its indoor cardio training solutions.

In September 2025, Fit Immersion became Kinomap VR: this name change marks a new chapter in our story.

Kinomap VR remains a standalone app, designed specifically for VR cycling workouts, while now benefiting from a stronger synergy with the Kinomap ecosystem.

Today, our team and our community of 360° video enthusiasts continue to offer dozens of routes worldwide, motivating you a little more every day.
