Frequently asked questions

Following Kinomap’s acquisition of Fit Immersion, Fit Immersion has been renamed Kinomap VR. Learn more

Don’t worry: the DNA of Fit Immersion remains intact.
You’ll still find 360° tracks filmed all around the world, fully compatible with VR headsets (Meta Quest, Pico, etc.).

Kinomap VR (formerly Fit Immersion) is an app dedicated to virtual reality cycling workouts. It works with standalone VR headsets such as Meta Quest, Pico, or the Kinomap VR headset, specially optimized for sports use (better stability, comfort, ventilation…).
Kinomap VR immerses you in 360° filmed routes for a motivating, lifelike experience, as if you were actually cycling the tracks.

Kinomap is a training app that allows you to work out (solo or multiplayer) on thousands of geolocated videos in real time, on stationary bikes, home trainers, treadmills, ellipticals, or rowing machines. It can be accessed from a smartphone, tablet, or TV.

The two apps are distinct yet complementary:

– Kinomap VR: an immersive VR cycling experience

– Kinomap: a multisport experience (stationary bike, home trainer, treadmill, elliptical, rowing machine) on a screen

Your Kinomap VR subscription does not provide access to Kinomap, and vice versa. The video libraries are completely separate (Kinomap VR uses a specific selection of videos tailored for virtual reality).

Installing Kinomap VR is simple:

– If you have a Meta or Pico headset, download the app directly from your headset’s store (Meta Quest Store, Pico Store, etc.).

– If you have a mobile VR headset, you can also download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

– If you have a Kinomap VR headset, the app is already installed!

Then, just complete your profile to start your first immersive session.

The sensor allows compatibility with all types of training bikes and elliptical bikes. In addition, the Kinomap VR Kits are compatible with home trainers and connected bikes for synchronization of speed and difficulty. If you are not interested about the sensor, an exchange against courses is possible, contact us. Kinomap VR is compatible with the same equipment as Kinomap. See the full list here.

1 – For an optimal and immersive sports experience, you should opt for the Pro-2 Edition Virtual Reality Kit which is a stand-alone headset.

2 – If you have a Meta Quest or Pico headset, you should opt for the Ocula Kit.

3 – For a less immersive experience than the Pro-2 Edition, but more affordable, opt for the Mobile-2 Edition Virtual Reality Kit.

To use the headset, you need to insert your Android or IOS smartphone into it.

1 – Insert the SD card or memory dongle in your cell phone (included in the kit)

2 – Install the “Kinomap VR” application from App Store or Google Play

3 – Attach the speed sensor to the cranck or any other rotating part (see image)

For Android smartphones, your phone must have a gyroscope to measure head orientation.

For iOS smartphones, all models from iPhone 7+ onwards are compatible. When placing your order, please specify your model, as the latest models are equipped with a USB port instead of Lightning (for the memory stick containing the tracks).

Following Kinomap’s acquisition of Fit Immersion, the app is changing its name to Kinomap VR.

Rest assured, Fit Immersion’s DNA remains intact: you’ll still find 360° tracks filmed around the world, compatibility with VR headsets, and new features to come.

This name change marks a new chapter in our story, with Fit Immersion now integrated into Kinomap, a platform renowned for its interactive indoor training content.

Kinomap VR remains a standalone app, optimized for the VR cycling experience, while benefiting from a stronger synergy with the Kinomap ecosystem.

No worries: you keep your access, your training data, and your equipment remains compatible.

The only difference is the app name, which is now Kinomap VR.
You can continue enjoying virtual reality routes just as before.
